Items of discussion: -3 most critical things Marsha would do Day 1 (efficiency—look at permitting and licensing processes, look at the city’s master plan and work with city council and neighborhoods so that it can live up to it’s purpose, look at the city’s transportation master plan and bring it up to date for what current best practices are -Marsha’s vision for Provo-“I want Provo to be Provo, not some other city. We are an anomaly and are eclectic. I want to build on the strengths that we already have. We should be the leader of Utah County, and if we build on each neighborhood’s strengths, then we could really become so.” -housing issues throughout the city -What Marsha has brought from the school board and legislature to her run for mayor (learning how to work with the public and doing the research, true communication and listening, bringing disparate groups together and finding solutions, solving problems brought to her, “Those were legislative positions, and now I’m seeking an executive position. I saw what I needed in an executive and I know how to bring that here.” -How to get rid of the red tape (Marsha wants to follow the process from start to finish in order to see where the inefficiencies are) -How we can help our water issue in the city -How we can keep business and technology here in Provo
