Items of discussion: What’s your motivation? -I love doing this, I love learning, I Love solving problems. But i saw Provo, the city i love, falling behind while i was up in the legislature and just really wanted to make a difference. I just want good things for Provo ”we need someone who really cares, and i think you are someone who does”—Jan Furner (previously mayor of Heber) ”what about the master plan?” ”what about economic development?” we need to get people to travel to other places in the city to become 1 city ”i love Provo and don’t have complaints, but now i realize that we don’t have a vision and i know I WILL have complaints in a few years if things continue on their path that they are right now” ”i want to hear more of your vision” -i want us to feel like a united city. I want every community in Provo to be thriving to it’s best point. I want the land used well. I want to build strong communities and neighborhoods. There is a large disconnect and divide between the northeast and the west. i think it’s time to have other areas be strongly advocated for. I want to advocate for everyone. I have an abundance mindset where you can find many solutions. I’m not wanting to take from one to give to another…i want to give to all -if we do the correct zoning and community building activities, we will have more crossover -I’m big on communication—i think we need solid communication and not just fluff. We need surveys. We need to address hard issues—we need to address our vulnerable populations ”how will you keep our money in Provo? We are going north or south and aren’t going in” What are your thoughts on term limits and politics ”when i was in legislature, i had a lot of power. It is seductive and i can see why people like to stay in power. And you begin to feel like you are the only one who can do it. It is a public service though…it needs to be a service not a power”
