Items of Discussion/questions asked of Marsha: Urban planning ideas (we are widening roads too much) Talked about more collaboration with UTA and Provo school district Housing policy -“we would like for Provo to be our forever city, but it’s becoming more and more difficult to do so” “Who would be your parking people?” “What are your thoughts on the vulnerable populations and what would the city’s role be?” -i want to bring together all the elected officials in Utah county and develop a plan for our most vulnerable. It shouldn’t all be on Provo and we don’t have enough services except for what the non-profits can do, and they don’t have the resources they need. There are ways to handle homeless before it becomes a big problem “What kind of transparency do you want to do?” -i wrote emails every month and emails every week when i was in legislature, but it’s important for people to understand what is going on. I still do that -I’m open—i want people to come to me—i love pushback. I love good discussion -i want more transparency
