Items of discussion/questions asked: sales tax revenue ”how does the church help us as a state and city? is there an agreement with the church that they will help build up what they are using? who is going to them and saying we love you, but help us?” ”what is your solution to increasing our point of sale?” ”Christmas Eve we had a pipe burst here. We have horrible infrastructure. The sidewalks are horrible. And the the temple and 2230 north. How can we fix that traffic?” Quote by Marsha: “I try to have intellectual honesty as i approach problems. Communication with the public and communication with the city council must be clear and key” ”$800 deficit from the library. And the parks are being vandalized. How are we going to take care of all this?” ”what can be done to increase the ridership on the busses and discourage the use of personal cars?” ‘We need a leader to come and help with the community. These are community problems-we need a leader to stand up and say ‘we need to make changes’” Quotes by Marsha-”i think the best way to solve a problem is to get a bunch of people together and talk about it” -“we need human centered planning over car-centered planning”’ ”what would you do with BYU first day” ”in summary: there’s been publicity about how well-run Provo city is. What is the difference between you and her?” i am a different leader. She is a wonderful person and i don’t want to say anything bad about her. i don’t see vision. We may be run ok right now, but our trajectory is not good. I can see it. I want us to have a vision and make sure our trajectory is better i like to delve into the issues and really research and find a win-win solution.
