The 2022 Legislative Session
It is such an honor to represent our community in the State Legislature. I have spent a lot of time preparing for this session, and I am excited for it to begin.
As always, I want to encourage your participation, perspective, and input. This helps me be a better representative and makes for a more substantive and informed legislative process. Here are some links to resources that can help you participate.
The Legislature’s website is handy. You can sign up to track bills, see the calendar for each day, watch live video from the floor of each chamber, and see what bills are up for votes.

Facebook Live Friday
As I do each session, I will be broadcasting a Facebook Live each Friday on my legislative Facebook page to talk about some of the interesting and controversial bills being debated. I will let you know what time I will be broadcasting in my weekly email, but the time is subject to change depending on my legislative schedule. Today I am aiming for 1:55 pm. They usually are about 10 minutes long and they will be posted so that you can watch them at your leisure. 🙂
Healthcare Price Transparency Website
I have been asked many times about health care transparency. Here is a link to the Utah Healthcare Price Transparency Website. You can look up a procedure from childbirth (48 Facilities, 205 Doctors, Minimum: $5,361, Average: $12,332, Maximum: $23,315) to a rheumatoid arthritis test (46 Facilities, Minimum: $4, Average: $19, Maximum: $86). You can find how much each facility and/or doctor charges for each procedure, so you can compare and shop around.
Utah Valley Job Fair
For those who might be interested, the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Utah Valley Job Fair. If you are an employer looking to fill job openings or a job-seeker looking to level-up or find new employment, this event is for you.
